Jersey Rules

The Saluki Women's Basketball team will be wearing special black Under Armour® jerseys that will only be worn specifically for the Salukis Blackout Cancer game on February 16, 2025, at 2 PM. The jerseys will be very similar to the traditional Saluki uniforms but will be Black with pink details and will sport the official logos of the Salukis, Under Armour®, and Missouri Valley Conference.

Jersey Rules

1. Only 15 jerseys will be available for bidding.
2. Jersey numbers will be chosen starting with the highest bidder and descending to the lowest bidder.
3. The jersey name can only include the first initial/last name, last name/first initial, first name, or last name only. NO BUSINESS names are allowed (ie. cannot use Piper Construction but can use Piper) and you cannot use any special characters other than a period. Only 15 spaces are allowed (more than 15 spaces/characters are allowed but the font will be smaller).
4. When you create your account please include the name you want on the back of the jersey and the top 5 numbers in order of preference to make the process more efficient.
5. If one of your 5 numbers is available we will assign that number and send you a confirmation email. Please allow emails to be received from sih.net to receive your confirmation. If you do not receive your confirmation, please contact the SIH Foundation. If your number is not available, we will contact you to pick a new jersey number. You will be contacted via phone, email, and text.  If we have not heard from you within the 30-minute time frame then we will move on to the next bidder. When you call back after the 30-minute time frame, you will select from the numbers available at that time.

Note: If you are a relative of an SIU Women's Basketball player, you are not guaranteed their number if a higher bidder chooses that number before you. We will not make calls to the higher bidder asking them to switch their number.

Below are your game day instructions. The following instructions are subject to change. Winners will be notified the week before the event with final details. 

STEP 1: Arrive at the Salukis Blackout Cancer game day on February 16, 2025, at Banterra Center. Check-in at the SIH Foundation table inside the main entrance concourse. Please allow enough time to sign in, receive your lanyard, and receive instruction on half-time recognition. 

STEP 2: Please meet at the southwest corner of the basketball court 3 minutes before half-time to be a part of the recognition ceremony. An announcement will be made at the game as a reminder. 

STEP 3:  After the game, winning bidders will meet on the basketball court after everyone has cleared off and you will have the opportunity to meet the player wearing your jersey and to receive the jersey. A professional photographer will be available if you are interested in having your picture taken. This is a great time for a photo to commemorate the event. SIU staff will give further instructions. 

If you are unable to attend the game, the jersey will be laundered and mailed at a later date.
